Dear Humans and Elves,
Here you can find the Release Notes for game version 1.15, which is planned for next Wednesday. This version includes the redesigned Battle System, as well as a lot of bug fixes. Please leave your feedback in this thread
it will still be available, it just means suicide so loosing all your troops. So its still available, its just not valuableAlthough I can't see anything specifically mentioned in the release notes on this .. I'm told the autofight feature will no longer be available when these changes are brought in. Can someone confirm or deny that please (preferrably a game mod)
So far the AI on Beta has not been updated for use with the new battle system. Therefor using Autofight usually results in much higher losses (or even an outright loss of the battle) than manual combat.Although I can't see anything specifically mentioned in the release notes on this .. I'm told the autofight feature will no longer be available when these changes are brought in. Can someone confirm or deny that please (preferrably a game mod)
Hi everyone,
Thank you for your feedback so far. As explained on Beta as well, the changes on the World Map battles are needed to fix the big imbalance we currently have with players being able to win fights against armies that are 5-6 times as large as their own, by using certain overpowered troops. Because of this, you are able to scout and obtain provinces way further ahead than you should at this point in the game, giving the game a certain imbalance of which the consequences will be a lot bigger if we don't do something about it. Battles that are reasonable at the point in the game you're at (so against armies that are up to about twice your size), will still be winnable but when the difference between armies gets too big, it's not realistic (nor preferable in terms of game balance) to still be able to win these fights. This is the short explanation on that. On Beta I have made some pretty big posts about it, so if you want all details, by all means go and take a look there in the thread to which is linked in one of the posts above.
Then Explain us what should player look forward to if you can't scout and fight/negotiate minimum of one province per day put those KPs into research tree and unlock tech? Just collect goods, coins, supply? Or how would someone collect relics for Core element of the game called MA and precious AWs that have unreasonable stats?
Advanced scouting doesn't advance us in the game....we have nowhere to put any expansions we get till the next stage of the tech tree, so our progress is permanently limited by the dev's anyway
Just shift your focus from far away provinces to tournaments. They are a great alternative to keep on fighting realistic battles and acquiring relics
No, nothing is "permanently" limited. World Map progression is temporarily limited if you are far ahead of where it should be, in terms of game balance. When new Chapters are introduced, new "Advanced Scouts" and "Squad Size Upgrade" techs will be introduced as well, which will lower your scouting costs, scouting times, strength of enemy troops in these provinces and which will increase your own strength, so these provinces will be conquerable for you by then. In the mean time, you will also keep getting the tech tree city map expansions.
You are permanently limited...if you are at the end of the tech tree...as a lot of longstanding players are...before the next guest races appear one of the few things you can do is clear provinces. With each stage of the tech tree you only get a few squares of extra space, so you end up with expansions you save until the next race turns up. As you can never increase your village above the maximum the devs decide you can have at each stage of the tree it is impossible to grow above what they want........so I am getting tired of being told that the Battle redesign is to prevent people expanding to far, all it will do is make the game more tedious that it is already becoming. What is the point of logging in if you haven't anything interesting to do...just put up daily productions and come on once every 24 hours for 10 mins..is that really what they want? No, nothing is "permanently" limited
If that is the case maybe they could consider renaming from fantasy city builder to idle city builder. You are permanently limited...if you are at the end of the tech tree...as a lot of longstanding players are...before the next guest races appear one of the few things you can do is clear provinces. So you mean that the players chose to play in a certain way that advantaged them (that is perfectly legit and is how the game was designed) and the devs do not want people to play outside what the devs feel is the "right" way to play, rather than "play how you want"?
