And that is exactly what I fear they mean they will be doing. It will just be another forced spending of valuable resources to gain something you don't necessarily need at that moment. Your choice to do something in the game when you want to do it is being taken away (again).I still try to figure out how Cauldron could be implemented in quests (of events of any sorts). If they ask to brew a potion, and you did it already, then you have to wait for next week. What I can "see" as a possible quest is to Buy Witch Points, like is now Buy KPs.

I agree with this concern.forced spending of valuable resources to gain something you don't necessarily need at that moment.
Thanks for the visualsitting on the toilet with diarrhea,
Do unused Witch Points carry over week-to-week? I was under the impression that unused WP disappear and are replaced with a fresh batch each week. If so, Buy WP quests can be worse than Brew Potion quests; you might not be forced to wait if you've already brewed a Potion, but you could spend resources for unusable WPs.I still try to figure out how Cauldron could be implemented in quests (of events of any sorts). And no, choosing therefore to not participe in events is not a comparable/valuable alternative to actually having a choice.
I feel for players who might already have spent a lot of resources and are at the point of 'no more, it's too expensive'.What I can "see" as a possible quest is to Buy Witch Points
I agree, this approach makes the most sense.I suggest that it is worth buying a few levels in everything, but investing much more in favoured spells.
Week 1 - my first experiment I made an 18 ingredient potion, I got 3 active spells but didn't have many witch points left to spend, but spent what I had.I agree, this approach makes the most sense.
What is nice is that you don't have to buy the level in one go.
Use your leftover WP in one week, add some more the next week and so on.
It's the forcing-it-down-our-throats part that's the problem. Last I checked, we weren't geese destined to become foie gras.I don't really understand all of the agonising about the Cauldron.

That does sound very sad @Laurelin. Somewhat demoralising in a way. But on the bright side, at least I am good enough to be residue. Or am I in danger of being swept under the carpet?with players like you and me being seen as (in their words) 'residual' revenue sources.
