Is there a way to see when the trades you put up expire ?

I am able to see that other players trades expire after a certain time but can't find a way to see when my own trades expire.

No sir...

Trades are expiring after 7 days since upgrade 0.21
You can find the expiration date by hovering on the check button...You already noticed that
but there isn't such a tool in the "Your offers" tab so, you can't check your own trades expiration by yourself...

But you can delete them and put them again so you will know haw long they will stay though

If it's very important, you can ask a fellow to check your trades for you...
Or you can create a second account to check your first account's trades...

Thanks for your reply but sadly it seems there isn't a way to check the expiry time for your own trades.

Logic would suggest you should be able to find this info somewhere in the "Your offers" menu but logic / common sense is absent again

I fully agree... It's absolutely irrelevant to know when other's trades will end... contrary to what you asked.
