Unfair (vicious) Trader

I could never understand why the Trader wholesaler offers goods in exchange for your boosted goods. The exchange rates are abysmal. If that is the best that the game can propose then they should just remove the insulting offer. It is beyond a joke! :mad:

Blooming trader guild level 30 gets you your first purchase as a 2-star equal trade. Thereafter the inflation rate is outrageous!
A lot of FSs don't allow trades this poor, go figure how the trader gets away with it :confused:

The name doesn't help, either - wholesale goods in Real Life are usually cheaper than most [legal!] ways of buying/bartering those same goods, so the Trader's Wholesale function - if it's going to live up to its name - should offer Goods at no less than a 2* rate, and preferably better.

Inno, however, have in the past indicated that they intend the Wholesaler to remain both initially costly and incrementally more expensive with each purchase (disclaimer : opinions stated in this post are not necessarily shared by its author...), so maybe they should just change its name to one which better describes its nefarious operations? I've heard quite a few players using 'Black Marketeer' as a more accurate alternative... or if the Olden Days fantasy theme wouldn't really allow that one, how about Highway Robber...?! :D

I pushed hard and upgraded the Bee trader and now I can get 1:1 trades for the first batch. It's enough to get one trade of each every day from spare coins and tools. I actually upgraded the Bee trader for the increment of portal production but I do not mind to have good trades in the Wholesaler. :)

You have woken the Semi-Pointless Math (tm) Beast...

Could you provide some additional info? What is your production stats in your Boosted Manus, your Relic Boost, your Boosting Wonders? Manus use Coins and Supplies, Wholesale Trader can use Coins and Supplies. How do they compare?

You asked for it!! ;)

Chap 15 level 31 Marble 3 hour production:
Base/regular 750
Relic boost 5250
AW (Mountain Halls 26) 1080
MM spell 3540
Total = 10620
Cost for 3 hour production = 15k coins and 1.5k supplies.

Trader with level 30 Bloomers:
46000 steel or planks cost 4600k coins or 460k supplies.
No typos or extra zeros here, @Laurelin is correct, Highway Robbery :oops:

Boost = +700%
MH Boost = +44%
MM = base +50%, so no boost from Elvenar Trade Center
BTG = +400% boost

So, do I have the numbers right?

In your case, Trader with or without BTG, trading Boosted for Unboosted is about 1/3 the efficiency in Coins and 1/5 the efficiency in Supplies than directly trading Coins and Supplies for Unboosted.

Not really following, sorry, I'm going to have to look at this tomorrow after a good sleep.
End of a long week.
With btg level 30, first trade is even. So 46k unboosted costs 46k boosted which in turn cost +/- 65k coins to produce (ignoring supplies as they seem fixed at 10% of coins).
If I buy the unboosted it will cost 4600k coins.
Doesn't this mean that boosted for unboosted is far more efficient than using coins directly in the trader?
