Is there a quest to sell the Temple of the Dunes after completing the Amuni section or can I safely sell it to free space without having to think about the possibility of needing to rebuild it only to sell it later?

There is a quest to sell the Portal of the Dunes, the reward is 2 x 5hr time booster instants iirc - you might decide that's not too important to you.
There are a sequence of quests shortly before that, and each of them rewards Diamonds, so those may be the ones to watch out for.
