Answered Rewards for Silk on Generic Quest Line

I have noticed on one of the generic quests to gain 900 Silk the rewards are 30,000 coins and 1000 supplies. On the quest further down is to gain 4000 Silk and the rewards are 15,000 coins and 4000 supplies. If this is correct, then the first quest is obviously the best if you need coins over supplies.
However the same idea for gaining Gems and Planks is used twice as well in the quest line, but the rewards are greater for the the larger amount you have.
First one - Gain 600 Gems - rewards 20,000 coins and 2000 supplies - Second one - Gain 4000 Gems - rewards 50,000 coins and 1000 supplies
First one - Gain 1200 Planks - rewards 10,000 coins and 3000 supplies - Second one - Gain 4000 Planks - rewards 35,000 coins and 2500 supplies
Is there a glitch with the Silk?

I've just cycled through mine and I see I only have one quest for each tier of goods.
Yours does seem like silk works inversely to planks and gems in terms of 'more coins, fewer supplies' for the higher amount of goods.
For interest's sake, my quests are:
4k gems = 50k coins, 1k supplies
4k crystal = 15k coins, 4,5k supplies
4k marble = 35k coins, 2,5k supplies
No clear pattern?
