Can I assume that the next FA will still allow stacking of badges, so I can collect multiple badges from completing FA activities?

It would be amusing if they removed it. It's one of the most popular new features they've implemented.
"They love it too much so we must remove it! How about let's give them more junk to win in the mystery object chest in the Magic Academy instead as a red herring. They'll be too busy complaining about that to discuss their laughable chances of winning diamonds now. We'll even rename the Blue Flames to Periwinkle Flames."
