Furthermore, I want to add something:
Do not worry very much about portal-selling quests. If you need to sell your portal, do it. If you get the quest, and your portal is gone, any portal is good. You can build anywhere the little 2x2 dwarven portal and then sell it. It will cash the quest!

Selling of the portal was important to me due to the 200 diamonds as a reward, but that changes later in the game. If you get 200 diamonds for unlocking the AWs and unlocking the first quest of the next chapter, then I do not think you get a quest to sell the portal. I am just using some quests as an example, but the general principle holds for me. If I received diamonds from 2 other quests, then I do not expect a sell a portal quest.
