Gambling is evil, is addictive and destroys the lives of people.

I wish to comment about the amount of gambling ads which Inno Games has approved for promotion in Elvenar. These ads are sensationalist and appeal directly to people who have an addictive nature and they make it seem that for no cost, the player has the ability to make millions. It is obvious that after the initial free spins the addicted player will have to deposit funds and then more funds etc.

I can not understand why Inno has stooped to the gutter level of these casino companies and ask that these type of ads be withdrawn. Think of your players and not any commission which you may be gaining from having your players become addicted to gambling and have their lives destroyed.

Regards, ElvenZorkan.

Where are you seeing this, is it in the browser version? Wouldn't any ads you see are going be based off of your tracked browsing experience?
No. I have a mobile game and get the dumbest things, and also ones that I would never touch with a barge pole. I close those immediately. They're annoying enough that I limit myself to one game only. How can these be based on  my browsing history?

And furthermore, that's  spyware in my humble opinion. I have FB logged into one device and typically, disabled at that. Y'all need better ad blockers. Lol

I haven't yet had any gambling adverts, maybe it is region dependant.
I get them on mobile. South Africa.
There are some restrictions here regarding gambling advertising but I don't know the finer details/specifics.

Right then @ElvenZorkan and of course everyone else! If you note ANY gambling advertisements (or of course any other unsuitable ads) could you please screenshot these (prior to exiting to gain your reward) and send these via Support Ticket for the attention of @anonglitch

He will be happy to investigate this further :)

Kind Regards

Social media apps like Facebook, Google searches, things of that sort can track your browsing history, what you search for, click on, etc. Unless you are very careful in how you block those apps, what tracking cookies you allow, etc. that information is available. I'm not saying the Elvenar ads are using that, but a lot of apps do, so it's possible.

By the way, I'm personally fine with Elvenar generating some revenue through ads, provided they don't take away from the game experience. The content of those ads is a different matter, but in general, someone has to pay the bills at Inno to make the game available and to continue to improve it.

Hi everyone, I use a mobile phone and at times a laptop, to play. In my case I disagree that the ads being generated to me, are based on browsing habits. This is because I do not and never will participate in gambling activities. I have seen how old people/pensioners are lured into gaming establishments with cheap meals, only to then become addicted to gambling. They usually end up spending their whole pension on gambling, with nothing left to pay bills or buy food. What do they do then? We see them at charity outlets living on soup kitchen meals and clothing handouts.

What I will do is provide screen prints of all offending ads. Please be patient while I do this.

Hello Silmaril,

I have not seen any gambling advertisements for 2 days and must admit, hopefully, my post has been acted on and the offending ads removed. What I am seeing now is non-offensive, everything but casino advertising. So a big thank you for the decision to remove them from our game.

Just spinning back on this subject.
Please be aware that the ads are based on individual browsing history and settings. Which is the joy of how cookies work across the internet these days. This means that ads are sorted based on the devices and users history, rather than just being totally randomised.
I am not sure from some of the comments here that everyone quite realises this, so just popping by as had my attention drawn back to this earlier today.
