That would be more Easter than April Fools but they do occur at similar times of year.

All those burrows they create got me thinking of a sink hole, appears randomly on April 1st swallowing a few buildings, lol (Just a visual effect)

Like Event currency drops, but they only appear for a few seconds at a time, and they animate like they are peeking around the trees, popping out of trap doors, climbing the cliffs, etc.

Mine walk through each other on occasion already, and appear/disappear randomly lol

Yeah, mine too. They seem very determined and focused on their task to wander the city streets. But at the same time they do give the appearance of being oblivious to all around themselves. Too many alloy shrooms perhaps, or environmental fallout from the cosmic bismuth factories.
