I have just opened the advanced trader and am about to build it. Does the old trader stay or can it be deleted after the advanced trader is functional? TIA.

according to the wiki, it looks like its an upgrade to your existing trader.

The Advanced Trader is an upgrade to the Trader. The same goes all future Traders.

Exactly, as they said the Advanced trader is not a new building is an upgrade of the old one. You will have the same functions of the normal one plus the productions of divine seeds.
