Additional member titles/honorifics within the FS.

SkyRider99

We have the Archmage, Mage, Ambassador, and Fellow as titles. Each has particular rights and powers.

As a way to reward outstanding FS members, could additional non-operational titles be a good idea?

What about if, in addition to the existing 'titles', the Archmage could bestow (and revoke if necessary) special non-operational honorifics. Such as Tournament Champion, Spire Specialist, AW Helper Extraordinaire.

Maybe these new honorifics could have an expiry date. For example, they only exist for one month at a time, and have to be re-earned and re-awarded. (Spreading the love so-to-speak).

To be truly prestigious the new honours would need to show up on the relevant member's FS avatar. Such as a small badge attached to their pic. Or perhaps we could have a separate 'FS Champions List'.

+1 from me.

Great Idea Skyrider99, gives a good incentive to FS members to push that little bit harder towards the tournaments, spire and the Fellowship Adventures, I personally think it would be a way forward for Elvenar

Elvenstats shows something like a % increase in score for the week or month.
I think an acknowledgement of most improved ranking/tourney/spire would give all size cities an equal chance of holding the title for that period.
It should be easy enough for the game to generate this kind of statistic and add a badge (and congratulatory diamonds, haha) to the player's profile pic.

I love the idea!
I'd add something for the most helpful trader, like King of trades (I'm not very good at making titles up) and one for the most helpful player in general, the one answering most questions in the chat etc... (Sage or something like that)
And on top of that a few non specific but funny titles that a FS could use for whatever they need :)

Sorry, why add to the confusion? as I already said in the post from which you got the idea, Archmage, Mage, Ambassador, and Fellow are not really Titles but operational profiles that define what a user can do or not do, confusing them, as many fellowships do, with a form of rewarding hierarchy and thus a true honorary title is nonsense.
The two should be completely separate, operational profiles on the one hand and titles on the other.
Then why should titles be pre-wired into the game? Wouldn't it be better to give each Archimage the opportunity to create their own hierarchy of titles based on the setting/background they want to give their FS?

You misunderstand. I see no confusion in having an entirely separate time-based award or honorific title. The 'operational profiles' you describe stay the same, and separate. Some fellowships may indeed misconstrue, or even misuse, the existing titles. That is pretty much up to them I guess.

You at the beginning talked about additional titles, sorry, but to me that doesn't mean a very separate thing, but a thing added along with an existing one and because of that further confusion.

The misuse that various FSs make is caused by the wrong implementation, the very fact of having called them Titles instead of Profiles is a cause of confusion.
