I've just tried to place a trade and it automatically took my planks, but gave me no steel in return. Please rectify as it's taken ages to get them. Thank you :D

Well, when you put up a trade, the game takes your planks and then you have to wait for someone to accept the trade to get the steel, of course, if you don't want the steel anymore, you can just delete the trade and you get your planks back
