Question Squad Size impact scouting?

Maximus20

Adventurer
I know the Advanced Scout research at the start of each new chapter drops the encounter difficulty of unscouted provinces, but do the squad size upgrades that you unlock during the chapter (post the advanced scout research) impact the encounter difficulty? A better question is, is it better to wait to all the squad size upgrades have been unlocked and then you scout sufficient provinces to unlock the next chapter, or it doesn't matter when you do the scouts within the chapter?

- Cost of scouting province determines the amount of enemy troops you face and determines the negotiation cost. Once you start the scout, those values are fixed and won’t change no matter what you research.
- Researching squad size upgrades determines the amount of your troops you bring to the world map province battle. This amount isn’t fixed at the time you scout the province, it actually changes as you keep researching the upgrades.

Conclusion: within the chapter a world map battle will have the same difficulty (ratio of your troops vs enemy troops) in both methods you mentioned:
1) scout -> squad size research(es) -> battle
2) squad size research(es) -> scout -> battle
