In the research section, it shows I have reasearched and "paid" to open the dwarven portal, but when I click on it, nothing happens.
It is acting like I already have the building - i don't.
Can anyone help please.

Activating the technology should make the building available in your build menu, under the "Settlements" tab. If it is still greyed out you are lacking some of the materials required to build it.
That's my best guess, haven't quite gotten there myself.

Hi Dee,

As Horanda has stated, once researched and you have the supplies needed to build, the building should allow you to place it.

Can you provide us a screenshot of what the building looks like in your settlements tab or even a screenshot of a mouse hover over the building?

Haven't heard anything from you in several days, so maybe you've already figured it out. :)
