Yeah, yeah, but the badge only lasts for a handful of days. Then it's as if you never did it at all.

And, even if she did you give the badge then, if you were to do it again next week, guess what? No badge.

...the newspaper announces that a traveling Carnival is coming to town next week, so you look up the travel schedule of the circus, call up random residents of the recently visited towns, query them about their experiences at the duck pond, dart throw and roulette wheel booths, and spend the week fiddling with a spreadsheet before taking your family.
