World name finding competition - global contest

Dear Humans and Elves,

Our explorers are starting to search for new worlds, where no elf or human has ever been. Untouched nature that is just waiting for us to discover!

Searching for these worlds takes a long time and we will need a lot of inhabitants of Elvenar to go there. But we can already name these worlds, so we are prepared for when we reach them in the future!


You have the opportunity to name one of the new game worlds, together with your language community! Each Elvenar language community will collect ideas for the name of one new game world. After the contest ends, all winning names will be collected by the Elvenar Team and the names for the new game worlds for all Elvenar servers will be the winning names voted for by the communities.

Remember: The favorite game world name from our community is one name out of up to 20 other language communities. We do not know when a new game world will be opened for our community and we do not know in which order the names will be picked. After the event, we will randomly pick the names and publish a list with the final order. This way you will already know if our community had the honor to choose for example world name number 5, 15 or 17.



Of course, we want our name on the list!



How can I participate?

  • Post your name suggestion in this thread. Your post will be hidden.

  • Just one entry per player is allowed, so everyone has a fair chance.

  • Please do not use copyrighted names like company names or fantasy names from other movies or video games.
Post your name before 13:00 UTC on Wednesday 4th November. We will then create a poll, so you can vote for the winners! The original suggestions will remain hidden, and the names of those who posted the winning entries only revealed after the competition closes.

Rewards:

  • The game world name with the most votes wins 1000 Diamonds

  • The game world name with the second most votes wins 700 Diamonds

  • The game world name with the third most votes wins 300 Diamonds

Only the winning name will be added to the global list of game world names.​
