Nice work if you can get it mate. I've just resigned to plodding through to the bitter end, and humbly accepting a few crumbs thrown my way. By concentrating only on two or three of the daily prizes I usually get a few goodies before the axe falls. :)

It's weird how there can be such a massive RNG swing in this type of event. I mean, in this one I've had that extra currency, but I'm still a million miles away. Also, because I paid diamonds for the royal prizes, what I really need is another 50 tombstones so that I can take advantage and get the blueprint and some diamonds returned.

A conspiracy theorist might consider that if you have already spent 2,000 diamonds on an event then you would be twice as hellbent on reaching a given endpoint as some return would be wanted on the investment. Because, really, those tombstones either appear or they don't. You could get none ever.

If the RNG gremlins chose to give those people less success they would probably get more people spending more diamonds.... If I was a conspiracy theorist.

It's a bit unfair really.
I think it should be structured that if you put in the effort then you'll (almost) certainly get the reward.
Effort being completing all the quests, picking up all the droppings and having a fed funky chicken phoenix.

I got the final artefact....woohoo. now to tuck it away in my inventory...haha
Just curious @Pauly7 do you ignore the daily rewards and just go for tombstones or do you like to get all the rewards on screen?
I personally only go for tombstones, I only bought the 100 donkey pack and no diamonds spent.

For the most part I am ignoring daily rewards and just trying to push forward and give myself the best percentage chance of finding tombstones, though admittedly there was that day i was trying to win that little building when I opened up quite a lot of chests.

I have also cleared the last artifact and went for dailies when the mana producer was available. suspect I was lucky with RNG, but the evo will sit in inventory for now.

I even got the avatar yesterday, but no hope of a 2nd base, I'm 0/20 on that one. But that seems a big difference from you needing another 30 Tombstones, you must have gone nuts looking for those furry sands. :)

Well, the results are (pretty much) in now. I am 8/20 on the road towards the final artefact.

You have all done better than me, but the numbers say that I am definitely not in the minority. I am comfortably within the "silver" category, which is based on a proportion of players. What is it, the top 10% get silver? Something like that, but I forget. That means 90% of players don't get the final artefact.

Luckily I wasn't able to be around during that small window today when they make a "last minute" offer for extra currency. I might have been tempted, because, having already spent the 2,000 diamonds for royal prizes I feel like I should definitely be getting the last artefact + blueprint and I would be (and am) slightly annoyed to not get the next prize which is the extra 250 diamonds. That potential windfall factors into the decision to spend those initial diamonds.

On reflection I am very happy that I didn't spend more money. With my tinfoil hat on, as previously discussed, I am exactly the sort of slam dunk that Inno would be expecting to spend money at that moment this morning.

Stupid game.

I'm sharing this here as it becomes more useful in the context of the 95%.

New Game Features - The Purge

Once a year we have a day/hour when we can trade items other than goods. With a cap for giving and receiving so it can't be abused (too much) Blueprints, buildings (like a Gingerbread Mansion @OldHag ;) ) , artefacts, etc.
