I was wondering if you can trade between friends without using the Trader? One of my friends or Neighbors is looking for something that I have, is there a way to trade between the two of us?

No, but if you intend to trade with your friend only, each of you can put unfair trades that only the other will take...
example : you want to exchange 2000 steel against 2000 marble with your friend,
You offer 500 steel against 1500 marble, your friend offer 500 marble against 1500 steel and you take each other's trade... And no one will take it.
example : you want to exchange 2000 steel against 2000 marble with your friend,
