On completion of tournament provinces there is a pop up display of rewards. Here the tournament points for round 1 is displayed as 10, round 2 : 12, round 3 :14 etc. whereas the actual points are 30,36,42 ... etc.,

Right, but isn't that because you already have 5 x 4 points for completing each encounter within the province and the pop up is showing you the extra bonus 10 points that you get for completing said province.
