The Anti-quest event

How about an event where the majority of quest stages are written in terms of spending things instead of gaining them?

Spend a sackful of coins. Trade away x amount of goods. Produce using y amount of supplies. Win a battle losing at least 80% of your troops. Cast 10 enchantments of your choice. Reduce your Main Hall to under 5% of storage for Gold. Have a negative culture balance. Have at least 5 disconnected buildings.

these would make for a funny event, but quite a good one
you would have to put your city back together afterward however, it might be a bit shattered and stripped of supplies

Have a negative culture balance.

Most of my culture comes from event buildings. I wouldn't be very happy if I had to delete them. Of course they do go after some time, but that's a time of my choosing ;)

Have a negative culture balance
If this means what I think it does then this would mean that I would never play one of these events from the off, as I'm not going to knock my city down for a prize, but otherwise I do like the idea of a different style of quest and I'd be on board with the "spending" style of task - though we do have some of them anyway, such as spending knowledge points. Has "cast enchantments" come up before too, or am I imagining that?

I've got more...
  • Delay collecting Beverages for 20 hours. (20 x 1 hour, 1 x 20 hour, whatever, just don't collect finished beverages)
  • Collect Neighborly Help with a near-full Main Hall such that you don't gain the full amount of Gold
  • Sell 30 Roads
  • Break a Building Set
  • Disenchant 6 Enchantments
  • Use up 10 Relics
  • Craft an item that finishes in one Crafting period and collect it in another one, thus missing a change of Crafting Recipe change.
  • Accept 5 0-star trades
  • Turn down a fellowship request.
  • Cancel an upgrade to Level x or better.
  • Have a trade unlist itself (7 days without being accepted)
  • Use a 1-hour or greater time boost instant on a production with 5 minutes or less to go.

Okay, some of these are simple reversed descriptions of normal goals. Some of them are trivial. And some of them would hurt.

Hmm, no the majority of the new list I could think of good reasons to say why they wouldn't be good ideas, like the negative culture one... I was up for a lot of your first ones though.

some are good some are bad, I am okay with the spending part though

Well, we already have "click until it hurts" for FAs, so this masochistic quest style is certainly in keeping with Inno's practice.

However, I play games to have fun, and I believe there are several specialist websites and clubs for those who like to suffer.

Some of those quest idea's look great, but others that would include destroying possibly premium or event buildings I'm not so keen on.
