Technology tree arrow logic

Im probably the only person that cant understand the arrow logic in the tree, it just seems random, ive no idea which combination will activate next item, the tech tree in other games is obvious but not this one. For example in the constructs tree ive completed only the "squad size upgrade 49" part and it activated only the "evolved armouries" box, how does those arrows indicate that, it makes no sense to me, also some arrows are green what does that indicate?, all the trees present the same logic problem for me, the arrows just dont make sense.

On PC, if you hover over an unlocked tech, the lines connecting it to required techs show green. In this example, the marble, steel and planks upgrades have to be researched to unlock Sinister Cerberus II. Not sure if it works the same way on the app.

Omg, after all this time i didnt realise it worked like that, i only use my tablet devices to play on and just tried it and it worked, it didnt occur to me to click on the next column of items.
