The Season of Joy starting from 30th on Live​

The Season of Joy will come to give you the chance to gain rewards by completing daily and weekly quests over a long time! Similarly to the previous Seasons, you will have 75 days, to collect Season Petals from daily and weekly quests. Collecting Season Petals will let you progress on the reward lane and reach waypoints. The new reward is Cradle of Seeds 4x4. The quests of the Seasons can be completed as part of your daily routine of playing the game, over the passing of several events! This means that the Season enables you to gain a lot of rewards by simply playing Elvenar regularly. The quests may also encourage you to explore different areas of the game. As always, we're happy to hear your feedback in the dedicated ⁠Feedback Season of Joy feedback thread.

I felt like I was cheated on one of today's quests. The quest item clearly said, 'Create Enchantments':

So when I clicked on 'Create' in the MA, I was not awarded the daily 5 petals !!

The quest said nothing about having to create *and* collect. The act of creation should have been enough. I was just following orders. :mad:

Surely the green button signals your intention to create, but you haven't actually created it until it completes.

I can decide to make a lasagna, but it hasn't been created until it comes out of the oven.

But surely once it completes and enters the MA inventory that should comply with 'Create enchantments' ?

It's not a big problem. It just seems screwy.

Is Schroedinger's cat alive or dead? Your lasagna is complete when it has been cooked. Your dinner is incomplete until the lasagna that was created in the oven is out of the oven and on your plate. The quest didn't say to 'create dinner'. :p

Sometimes the wording is slightly misleading. I'm sure this quest can be completed by gaining an enchantment, eg NH reward or tourney reward.
I only "create" CCs and I only collect them once an FA starts (ignoring fat finger mistakes) and I don't remember ever being stuck with a quest like this.

For example I come on late at night having the game open in a PC tab and collect everything and then see the timer for the new day has started and none add, I reload the game at that point and see the daily ones untouched where often 2 or 3 would be completed.

Take a look at tomorrow’s quest in Zodiac event. It’s the last quest of the event, so we’re all getting it in the same day, which ‘happens’ to be a monday, so no tourney going on and we are asked to collect 5 enchantments.

Not possible just from NH.
Ordinarily, I’d keep a story quest giving enchantments as a reward already solved and ready to be collected, but for the moment I’m stuck with some yet undeclinable story quests.
It did occur to me to save tourney prizes and only collect them tomorrow, but my game has already gone black and forced me to reload, so there goes that idea.
It looks like I’ll have to create those enchantments in the MA this time.

I don't use the quest list often so I had no idea this was coming our way.
This is such a weird quest for the last day of the event. They must have copy-pasted it and didn't take into account the day the event ends. Even if one is not saving spells in the MA like some of us are, 5 spells takes over 24 hours to produce and that's assuming one has a level 5 MA which a lot of new players don't. That means time boosters have to be used. In my case, as I'm only producing and stockpiling CCs in the MA collecting the won't complete the quest. So if I want to compete the quest I'd have to waste all my production since the last FA + use 25 hours worth of time boosters to make spells.

@Herodite @Silmaril are the devs aware how problematic this quest is on the last day? Have they maybe changed it after beta?

An EE (and I think also a PoP) takes 4 hours in the MA. So that's 20 hours and after the quest opens there will be 33 hours more event left.

I don't disagree that it's a cheap shot from Inno on the last day of an event, but it'll be OK. People also may get a Panda collection or something, and there could be two days' worth of NH collections to further assist.

To further clarify, I am not defending Inno's tactics. I have talked at length about how every event has now so obviously become a vehicle to deplete everyone's resources. It is possible to stay strong and wait it out, but this final quest is very purposefully put there because they expect the majority of people to just drop 20 hours of time boosters in the MA. This quest is no different to those other ones that ask for 6 x CCs or something.

Ok, so 20 hours but only for how with a level 5 MA, for those who haven't upgraded it yet it's longer, I think i's 8 hours for level 3.

And as motioned before, there are quite a few of us producing but not collecting spells for the sake of FA. FA has already take quite a hit with the changes to the spire (less teleports and less time boosters) now they want us not to save CCs...

There are are workarounds to slove this ofc I might manage but not everyone will be able to do it.

Agree that it seems the goal is to deplete us of all the stuff we have accumulated. Most of the changes lately seem to go that way.

As to the x CCs quest, I think is a bit easier as there are a more ways to solve it that the spells quest, if the tourney is not on, there is the spire and there are quite a few buildings that produce it now + the MA + selling event/crafted buildings.
