Fixed Radiant Stones In Spire Chests

But I lost a fair bit of stuff playing badly, so it makes me wonder if you are better off just aiming high and losing badly.
That's my strategy too @Fligigel. Actually, not so much of a strategy, and more of just abandoning all hope.

It's a problem with this game that it pushes back on you with every improvement,
100% agree. The fact that you noticed must mean you are playing the game correctly. The designers/devs are the sadists ... we're the masochists.

This original issue still hasnt been fixed. While I now know that its just a display issue there have to be others out there who dont go on the Forums who are thinking they are getting short changed lol.
As for the SBS issue. Im now on 1247 and to be honest, Im not losing masses of troops.

The SBS will go up with general troop talents and Martian Monastry , ability to match opponents, heart saves, negotiation, 5 day things.

I'm having trouble fighting at SBS 604, because I refused help from the Vestige birdie. I'm going to have SBS 540 with the six million troops I lost.

Won't do me much good though, because it all evens out in the wash.

So far, I am still finding the Spire easier than it was previously. I generally mange to fight my way through every level to the top. My SBS is 946 (907 last round) in one of my cities, and 919 (previous round 909) in the other. As McBratty said though: "with us having said that, next week we will be absolutely destroyed lol".
P.S. What is a Martian Monestry and how do I get one? Oh, you probably mean a Martial Monastery!

I have a suspicion that there may be another multiplier that repels people if they get to the top too often. Obviously the programmers want a cheap way of making it difficult, so if you get to the top 3 times in a row, something is wrong, so why not increase opposing troops by 5%

But there is also another factor where you start to lose confidence and wonder if your troop choices are consistent

Since the inception of the Spire I have never not reached the top... just saying.

Sorry, that sounded like shameless flexing, but I was just trying to say - Success with the Spire is not some mythical thing. Once you are used to it, and geared up for it, it doesn't have to be some difficult unattainable task. Many many people do the same.

Ok. However, haven't they just changed the mechanics of it all?

It is known as a resource hogger, and there are a lot of million score cities that don't bother past 2. This gives the impression that it's difficult.

I used to be one of the unin-Spired. And it's true that it does cost more as your score increases. However, by feeding Glido and Fire Phoenix it does become more credible to a-Spire to reach the top. The rewards are not inconsiderable. I get 31.8K of Basic Ascended Goods for each Spire chest completed. I do miss the CCs and Time Instants that we used to get, but there are still a lot of prizes. It all adds up. In-Spire-ational. :)

If your SBS is less than 1,000 then it should be easier to fight than it was before they changed it. If it is above 1,000 then it gets harder, but the idea is that you are then rewarded better, in the form of pointy stones that allow you to buy things in the shop. Personally I don't find that element of it worth it, but it is definitely still worth collectively doing well in the spire for the weekly team rewards.

Thanks Pauly7. So that's why I am findinig it easier to fight now. Presumably it will get more difficult because my SBS will increase as I continue to fight successfully (it's currently around the 900 mark). Btw, can anyone please tell me this. I used up as many of my broken shards as possible in Harold's Shop buying the pointy things (such a better name than Radiant Stones!!). How long will it be until i can buy some again, or wil this ever happen?
