Please when we "train" the squads do they get stronger the more you train them?? I don't see it making any difference, so do we only train them when the barrack is upgraded??

They don't get stronger, but you need to train more to have squads filled for battles to clear provinces.
The more you upgrade the barracks the faster the training time is.
Your troops get stronger through upgrades researched through the tech tree.
