Fellowships Points for trading with fellows

It would be nice if you could still gain a small amount of points for rankings if you are an active trader within your fellowship.

There are times when players are researching and get stuck or fall in their rankings because you can't do any upgrading until the research is done. Letting fellows gain points for trades, would keep them actively working on producing goods and helping out fellows.

Folks would immediately start cycling trades, just to run up both scores. Please don't go there.

Unless you the items have an attribute that does not grant points on any subsequent trade (hard to code, no real point to doing so) this is a terrible idea.
Well, the idea is not terrible, the abuse of it would be.
