The date thing can perhaps been seen as double standards. It was said that the year was taken as acceptable, therefor all should have been taken into account who had the right year.

Maybe the wording on the competition page could have said "exactly when" in the description, rather than just "when" to be clearer for future reference @Silmaril

We were a little loose with this as we hoped for more entries for the competition. However we were of course unable to accept the wrong dates even if everything else was perfect.
