They do give a slight boost to enchantments, such as extending the time that spells are active. But especially given that they expire in 60 days, the boosts could afford to be more generous, and less miserly.

I think this is one of those situations where the devs imagine something to be much more important than anyone playing the game does.
For me, I like to have a handful of little flower squares because they are good for filling in little gaps in scenery. However, I would only be interested if they're literally free and their benefits are neither here nor there.
I am yet to find anyone who will tell me they would consider spending 5 RRs (or whatever it is) in order to craft ONE.

I’m chiming back in with some spire updates… feeling so so despondent. So I’m now four weeks without an armorer, troops boost buildings are so rare in my MA (which I know does happen from time to time), it’s seriously killing my spire. Pet food requirements are super crazy, I can’t climb the spire without feeding the fire Phoenix and the purple one that gives back 10% troops loss. The increased troops loss due to lack of boost buildings is seriously depleting my troops. I have a fully evolved brown bear but I can‘t feed him to help troops replenishment due to pet food challenges and I can’t use him efficiently even if I could afford it because I can’t spare the speed ups. The horrendous lack of time instants is killing trading in the merchant. Can’t get the trades in any kind of speed due to trade shortages before they start to decay. So I am starting to negotiate more spire and tourney. The spire is eating the diamonds to do so, which are now not being replenished in the spire rewards! And tonight’s run = 1x mystery chest, purple - for the whole three levels! Sux

Have you tried using the spire wizard for negotiating the spire @Anni-Lizzie? He certainly saves on diamonds. I get to the top every week using him and I use relatively few diamonds to do it.
