New Spire rewards

Great info Hekata, thanks. Good to see those Portal Profits going down, I get way too many of those each week. I usually only go to the 2nd boss these days if the Artefact is needed, since the outlay in Resources can be steep. Now with these changes that might encourage me to do more but I have always considered the 3rd boss to be way too expensive for the offerings. Will study these charts carefully. :)

I found it getting harder and harder, and recently it became so hard, that I finish finish stage 1 and do not move forward cause it is too expensive in terms of army or resources.
My score is 641K, and in the quests I just began level 16

I can totally understand your position @yanivation. You are right to analyse and adjust your play according to your circumstances. One day you will find that Stage 2 isn't quite so bad. :)

I try to get to the top where possible. If I'm fighting I will need a minimum of three Dwarven Armorers and two each of UUU, MMM, ULR troop boosts. Those extra Light Melee, Heavy Range, Heavy Melee troop boosts help, if I have any left.

The negotiation costs to satisfy the Spire Spirits are indeed massive towards the top.

Wow. That isn't sustainable.
Oh yeah! That's why I can't do it very often. The Spire Wizard helps me pay off those spirit bandits. I like it when our FS goes for Gold, but it's a daunting task sometimes to reach the top. :)

So I guess in your set up you just need to be fully catering, and fighting is an occasional treat for when you've built up tons of temp military buildings. My small city is catering only and it's liberating when you embrace it.

Yep. You got it in one mate! When (!) I have enough troop boosts, I set them out on a Friday. Then use time boosts to get through the Spire gates to the top. Plus I can get the first round of the Monday tournament done with a couple of extra provinces fighting.

Otherwise I can use my goods focussed city to cater, negotiate, barter my way through the off weeks. But currently I'm stuck when I hit catering that demands mana. The last few research quests for Ch.21 are criminally insane for demanding literally millions of mana. Not happy! o_O

This many boosters has to be the definition of insanity. No way I could craft that much in the MA and keep the AW's ticking over... o_O

You should really build the Dragon Abbey, even nerfed as it is now it's still the best source of mana.
I'll have another look at it @Hekata. But I need millions of mana, rapidly, and Dragon Abbey returns small amounts. I have placed a number of culture and summonings buildings, but still need more. Another 40 or 50 million mana might be enough. Stupid Ch. 21 !!!!

Well it all depends how many spells you have in your inventory. Ofc at lower levels it will give you less mana. Mine is LV 31 and I get over 15k mana per spell. It would be more in your chapter as it depends on SS techs.
Alternatively you can build the maze: it gives mana every 3 hours and it reduces mana decay or The Embassy that will give you mana for tourney points.
Starting with chapter 17 the demand for mana has gone up a lot and I don't think relying just on event buildings is going to be enough.

Oh yeah, you got that right! Chapter XXI takes it to unimaginable levels. Tournament catering becomes monstrous for depleting mana in the (literally) hundreds of thousands. Carefully declining some provinces is key to survival, but I do like getting our ten chests each week. :)

Sorry, but 15+K is a drop in the ocean. My Verdant Phoenix helps with 202K every 24 hrs. I bought three Biotopes too, and keep them spelled up with EE enchantments. The Solunar Nexus is contributing too with daily 183K, after EE boost.

The MODM AW is an essential, I agree. I built that early in the piece, but after Inno nerfed the AWs I can't upgrade it past Lvl30.

Thanks for your reply and tips Hek. :)

I've finished the guest race manufacturing, so that will reduce the mana usage. But the research costs are still in the millions. Such fun! :p

Only about 12 million mana to go. Not counting Spire and Tournaments. o_O

15k is a drop in the ocean, but that is per spell. Drop the 40 PoP spells you got in the latest tournament and that is 600,000. Then you put down the 40 EE spells you got in the latest tournament and that's another 600,000. Then at some point you can use a bunch of MM spells. I think even pet foods count. If you have decent tournaments then the Dragon Abbey should be much better than a Verdant Phoenix. Plus remember that the DA also seriously buffs your mage troops. I would want it just for that power.

Here's the latest official announcement from Discord-Beta regarding the changes to the Spire prizes.

After sharing our latest revision of the upcoming Spire rewards, we collected more of your valuable feedback, and made further improvements to address two of the most frequent points you commented on: Teleport Building Spells (TBS) would be only accessible to players in Fellowships finishing the Spire of Eternity in the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Leagues. Time Reduction Instants’ reduction being too harsh, given how important and useful they are for various mechanics across the game, especially for fighters. With the latest iteration of the rewards, we will:
  • add Teleport Building Spells as Medium Rewards (Medium 1, Medium 2, Medium 3) with a chance of 15%. We’ll also offer them as Fellowship Rewards for the three stage Milestones, as you’ve known them so far (110 Spirit Essence, 520 Spirit Essence & 1330 Spirit Essence collected). This brings the average* of available TBS up 45% to 4,35 when compared to the previous rewards iteration (3 TBS).

  • increase the amounts of Time Reduction Instants available for our Small (Small 1, Small 2, Small 3) and Medium (Medium 1, Medium 2, Medium3) rewards. For the Medium rewards we will keep Time Reduction Instants as a selectable reward within Tomes. The average* will now increase 8,6%, from 157,9 to 171,55 hours.
We also plan to introduce more Time Reduction Instants as rewards elsewhere in the game in the future, such as Events and Seasons. Weekly avg. of 3 completed stages We’re certain these changes are a step in the right direction, and we want to thank our community for the great feedback and interest shown in shaping a better reward structure for our beloved Spire of Eternity. We will continue gathering feedback on Beta once these rewards are implemented, so please keep letting us know what you think when you get the chance to play around with them!
Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback .

But we still get Dwarven Armorers if RNG-esus smiles upon us, don't we?

I'm a bit confused about the Small and Medium classifications and their meanings. 'Maybe confused about other things too, but that's a different story. o_O
