Have you exhausted the purchases in Harold's Shop too @Jake65 ?

@Silmaril, I haven't been paying attention here, does 1 round mean next week will have new stock or the week after (1 more round after the one we're currently in) ?

I haven't been in a rush to buy much from good ol' Harold 'cos I don't understand the cycle of resupplying his wares. I mean, if I buy everything does that mean he's out of business? Or are we good to go again after a suitable waiting period?

Like @Jake65 says, what does 'bent arrow in 1 Round' mean? I suspect it means that in 1 Round something will shoot us in the back with a curly arrow.

A Spire cycle is 6 weeks and most of the things in the shop can be purchased about 6 times during that cycle. It's all a little bit of a damp squib for me. I will waste a few pointy stones to buy a few spell fragments, but not much else. At one point I got excited about the Wishing Well, then I realised how high they are valuing it and how bad its stats are. I would rather keep my Spire Battle rating low and the shop costs high.

I know the Spire Rounds and Spire Cycles have thrown a lot of players. Basically the Spire Cycle is the 6 weeks that the Spire rotates the Artifacts on, the Spire Round refers to each week, so the screenshot you gave can say more than 1. Does that help?

That's the main drawcard for me too @Pauly7. The quantities aren't astounding, but every little bit helps I suppose. I don't ask for much. Just an exceedingly superfluous abundance of SFs. :)

I am more than curious with this as I tend to keep a couple of Ancient Wonders deliberately at the Rune Phase
To fill up the rune circle using only broken shards would require 90. So to be able to collect all the broken shards in the tournament alone I would need an AW at rune phase at least every 2 weeks, oftener if I'm making a push. Then there's the ones from Enar's and event/quest rewards. I'm resigned to having to forgo most of them, but it would be nice to be able to dump more than 30 in Harold's shop every 6 weeks.

And let's be honest, for most people in most situations they're not going to wait around for 90 broken shards before upgrading the AW further.

Now I'm more confused. What else is new I hear you ask.

I've bought all the SFs that Harold has on offer. I'm at the mercy of the 'bent arrow in 1 Round'. When will I get more SF offerings? I really hope the answer is NOT that I am being forced to purchase *all* of Harold's junk.

When next week's Spire starts. 1 round = 1 week. 1 cycle = 6 weeks.:)

I'll do a count this week to see how many brokens I get in an average tournament.
Completing 30 provinces will give 30 broken shards. I still need to finish round 6 but I can see the rewards that will be coming.
If Harold gets 30 every 6 weeks then there's +/- 150 going to waste :(

Inno has made the Vestige of Eternity so hard to upgrade they really need to do something to make orbs more accessible. Increasing the number of orbs needed at higher levels has made a bad situation even worse.
I have to agree @dennise. Plus, the number of Orbs required is much more once the devious frag limit is reached. It seems that once I'm down to the last three orbs required, they constantly shatter. Which means that, dependent on my reaching the top of the Spire every week, it will take me a further nine weeks just to fill the rune circle. Then I'm guessing it will be rinse-and-repeat for any future upgrades. This is not my idea of fun!

And our cliff art was destroyed for this?! :(

I'm in the exact same position. How much nicer it would be if we could trade in 10 Broken Shards for one measly shattered orb, that could help lessen the pain. ;)

Like any true masterpiece the VoE will only come in to its own once the artist who created it has died of old age... the question is, will any of us live long enough to see it? (@Pauly7 is excluded from this since he owns a time machine ;))

After looking at the expected lengths of time here, it does occur to me that there is a fair chance that no one will manage to upgrade this AW to its maximum level (more importantly to be able to see the final graphics) during the lifespan of Elvenar. Even if the game somehow manages to continue for another 10 years, which is extremely unlikely, it also relies on any of the current group of players still being here then.

So even with my time machine, this thing may literally never exist. I am sure the graphics department have designed it all ready, but there may not be a need.
