My Spire Improvement Suggestion.

I would like to see us be able to buy 1 Shattered Orb for the Vestige of Eternity in exchange for 10 Broken Shards, in the new shop.
I am nearly always full for Broken Shards and therefore most go to waste as you can't collect round 6 Broken Shards in the tourney unless you are on a Rune Circle level.
I love that we can use our Shards in the shop, but the amount is miniscule 5 shards for 6 uses. I do appreciate that improvement, but I like my improvement even more......lol.

The idea for the Broken Shard to Shattered Rune has come up quite frequently, the developers are aware of the request, but have no plans to overhaul the Vestige of Eternity mechanics currently.
 
Yes they have very purposefully made it so that it will take many years to obtain. I just wish it didn't have to be in the hands of RNG all the way. Is it really what they want to leave 50% of players disappointed and feeling penalised? They should at least make level 1 a certainty.
 
I understand why they've made the vestige take a long time to build, I don't mind that so much, but broken shards are also given as a reward in the current event. I won 2 yesterday but I didn't get them because I've still got a full broken shards slot, so I'm missing out on those rewards, aswell as the broken shards from round 6 of the tourney, that just doesn't seem right at all.
That's a lot of rewards we're winning but not getting so maybe they could offer an alternative reward for those of us in that circumstance? Perhaps they could allow us to trade in those 10 broken shards for something else, if broken orbs are not likely or maybe increase the number of times we can purchase radiant stones in the shop, which is currently set at 6 times per cycle. Tks. :)
 
How many purchases would you personally suggest for this OldHag? As I appreciate this sinks 30 over a six week period, which is considerable, but as you say is not enough for your gameplay. Can I assume that you have all Ancient Wonders now maxed? So no Rune Phases to be utilised?

No, not at all. I do have some at level 35, but I don't have and haven't had for quite a while, is an AW on the Rune Phase, hence missing out on a lot of the rewards. I used up my 6 goes at the shop by the 3rd week, as soon as I heard I could do that. :)
As for how many many, hmmm, would 100 be too many....haha. I don't know to be honest @Silmaril, but thanks for taking the time to respond and if Inno change their mind about the Shattered Orb trade, I'd be incredibly happy. :)
P.S feel free to bring it up at the next meeting. :)

I am more than curious with this as I tend to keep a couple of Ancient Wonders deliberately at the Rune Phase and happily utilise Magic Academy Recipes if they come up. I personally have not had enough Broken Shards to use in Harold's Shop so I am interested to hear more on this subject as it has not affected me. So if anyone feels like chiming in, I am all ears :)
 
I rarely have an AW at the rune phase. When I do there are usually so many rune shards piled up that it gets filled very quickly. The broke shard bouncing around on my Enars Embassy is a permanent irritation and really spoils the look of the building. I am tired of not getting all the broken shards I should in the tournament. Inno has made the Vestige of Eternity so hard to upgrade they really need to do something to make orbs more accessible. Increasing the number of orbs needed at higher levels has made a bad situation even worse.

I think the real tragedy @Pauly7 is that the mechanics of the Vestige of Eternity aren't random. For some twisted reason the game boffins have deliberately and carefully made the VoE a visual eyesore and an insult to dedicated elvenarians everywhere! :confused:

This, for me, is the worst problem. It may look good when it is completed, but for about the next 17 years it is going to look like a rubbish building site, which in no way makes up for the beautiful cliff art it replaced.

I often used to have AWs in rune phase. This hasn't happened to me for a while either. Is rune phase just random or is there a pattern there somewhere?

This is pretty much my default for broken shards.
I currently have 17 AWs of which 14 are above level 30. One at 29 with 78 shards, one at 25 with 104 shards. Last one is at 19 with only 6 shards so will probably use some broken here.
I craft anything that comes up in the MA requiring broken shards, even 3AWKP :rolleyes: just for the sake of using the brokens.
I'll do a count this week to see how many brokens I get in an average tournament.

Definitely support OldHag's idea, hell, I'd even toss in some relics to sweeten the deal :cool:

Edit to add: To really rub my nose in it, I've just 'won' two broken shards from an event prize. Whoop whoop.
