Monumental efforts return dismally small rewards.

I get it that the game designers flog the devs into making the game a 'challenge' for higher players. But giving us some decent returns for game play wouldn't hurt, would it?

For example, after years of faithful playing, and outrageous costs to get through Chapter 21 we are given ...

I mean, seriously!? Four (4) whole RRs for selling the Level-4 Ch. 21 portal that cost us a googolplex of goods and resources!!! The other end-game 'rewards' are pitiful too, especially in relation to the level at which we are expected to play, and the heavy costs (penalties) that are routinely imposed.

Don't urinate down my back and tell me it's raining.

The prizes for the story quests are never any good, except the ones where they give you about 200 diamonds at the end of each chapter in some form. I think at one point they gave out 40 diamonds 5 times.

But anyway, yeah, there has never been a point where any of those prizes are worth winning. I think they see them as nominal, but really they want people to just enjoy the process. Personally I don't care for the process. In 7+ years of playing I have never yet read the text in one of the speech bubbles that pops up.

Better prizes would be awesome, obviously, but I think Inno has been so scared of breaking what they call the game balance that they will literally give out nothing worthwhile, except for what they carefully control through tournaments and spires. Even the events, they are now designed so that none of the daily prizes on offer has the capacity to represent any tangible improvement in anyone's game. Just take a look at the pitiful Tidal Hoarders set, which is frankly insulting. If I had understood the deal I never would have bothered building it. And this is why the end of event prize is now always a Goddess of Wishes.

That is likely a good reason for the miserable rewards. There may be others, less generous or polite. I also wonder how having disillusioned players quit would upset their 'game balance'.

This has been one of my main moaning points for ages. You put in a monumental effort on a sodding quest and they fling a 5% coin instant at you as a reward! Invariably the rewards never match the effort involved be it event, FA or just daily game play. A new player on chapter 1 or 2 might jump up and down with delight at getting a 5% coin instant but the rest of us look at it and think, what the hell are we supposed to do with that?
