Answered Losing Battle

Does losing a battle at least whittle away at the enemy so you can fight again against fewer foes in the same instance?

that's a great point if you fight manually. you can learn from your mistakes, try a different combination of troops or different tactics, and hopefully have more luck next time. i've won many battles on my 2nd effort. sometimes i'm smart enough to surrender early and choose new troops. if you surrender, all you lose is the troops you've lost up to that point.
