Hello everybody, nice to meet you. I am Joseph, and I came from Grepolis. You guys got to play grepo if you aren't already. Anyway I am trying out this game, reminds me a little of FoE when I tried that out a while back. Umm I like to hang out on the forum, so make sure to talk here or I will get lonely. And I think that is it  Rep system seems different but I am liking these emojis :)

Welcome Joseph!

Yes the game is a lot like FoE, though I prefer the building upgrade system, the ideas behind the world map and the fact there's no forced PvP more than FoE. Though I'm looking forward to seeing what types of systems Elvenar will introduce similar to FoE introducing Great Buildings after a while.

I've never played Grepolis though, what's that like?

Welcome to Elvenar!

I'm mainly from FoE, but I've played all the other Inno games for at least a day. If you like to hang out on the forums you'll probably be seeing a lot of me, sorry about that :D

Oh, also, it's a new, unofficial, tradition to post cute animal pictures with your intro thread ;)

Have fun, nice meeting you

Yeah I like the more relaxed style to this game, that is a lot different than Grepolis. Grepolis is a little more like Tribal Wars, in that it is entirely PVP. It requires more attention because of that, and is based more on fighting. In short you start off with a city on an island filled with other players. You build up your city with the idea of meeting the requirements to be able to expand and get more cities. The two ways to get cities are by colonizing at a empty anchor point on an island, which is the more peaceful way to expand as you don't need to attack another player. Colonizations can't be canceled after they are sent, once they land it takes 24 cities before you have a city where that anchor once was. The other method is conquering, in which you launch an attack with a Colony Ship in it like colonization, but you send it at a player. Depending on the battle system you will either have to defend that city after your Colony ship attack lands, or you will get the city instantly after it lands. We also have resources like this game does, and have 5 min demands and stuff. But it is more based on attacking and supporting others and working with a team.

Ah, sounds like the type of game I hate :p Played a few of those types and got too frustrated when I'd just lose my cities all the time from other people.

lol Well a lot of the new players seem to avoid the taking cities part so as long as you are surrounded by new players then it could be ok ;)

Hi Joseph :)
Welcome to Elvenar!

Hi Joseph,

nice to meet you and be very welcome to Elvenar.
I'm mainly from FoE, but I've played all the other Inno games for at least a day.
Like Barti I have tried all Inno games for at least a day :D

Apart from FoE and Elvenar, Grepolis was the one I played a bit more but it seemed too much, for the time I had available. Maybe one day, when I get a little more time, I will give it another try ;)

At least a day, that sounds like me. Why are you sorry, are you suggesting that I won't like you? :D Cute animal pics, just a sec:
