How useful is the Vallorian Valor?

I don't recall ever using the vallorian guards in battle with much success, also do they ever get more than one star? I am beginning to wonder if this building very useful at all and would love to hear your voices on this..

This can be a very useful unit but it may vary during the game depending on where your technology is at. There is 1 tournament (out of 9) that this unit is designed for, it can still be handy has support in others.

That said it is a specialist troop and your barracks produces the all-rounder. The vallorian vallor get their unit upgrades very late in the game. So each time you get a tech upgrade to your paladin/treant/vallorian. Have a comparison of their stats. If the barracks ones are stronger or equal then I would say no don't bother with VV and just use barracks. If your an elve this is harder as you have to be subjective about the reach of 2 of a VV verse the 1 of a treant.

Bear in mind if you have the building giving free troops they can still be used in 2 tournaments as cannon fodder to save your barracks troops, allowing you to do a bit more.

I am at the end of the tech tree and love my VV. In the right fight they walk all over the enemy and pull faces at my paladins.

I have to ask as a ch14 player have you found a use for the Frogs, less beneficial in range than a Mortar and die first hit. Mine are level 2 and are still a waste of training time.

Absolutely, love my frogs even when they were level 2, just awesome at 3. In the words of one of my fellowship members "Frogs eat dogs" If they offered a free building of these I would have a bunch.

At the end of the day the specialists troops have their place and take time to learn. But if unsure your barracks troops are pretty good and are an all-round option.

I do agree that Frogs are very handy in certain tournament battles.
