City How about some supplies?

Cheryn

Soothsayer
I have literally quit (abandoned) city after city over the lack of supplies issue. I will not expound on this as it's futile. We all need supplies and we all know the reasons we need them, and we all hopefully build enough workshops to feed our city needs. However, certain aspects of this game require more supplies than others and I have found that I cannot run a city with 15 workshops, or even 10. 8 is my max and when the demand cannot be met, week after week, city upon city, I simply abandon the city and stop playing. I'm too tired to fight perhaps. It may just be best I quit for good!

The secret is to work on the culture bonus. If you have 10 workshops and 100% culture bonus, remember, that's the same as having 2 workshops and 500% culture.

Getting there takes time, but once you've levelled up Lighthouse of Good Neighbourhood and Crystal Lighthouse and you have enough purple spells, you are well on the way.

have enough purple spells,
I use the blue Power of Provision (PoP) spells to increase Workshop productions :

For additional Workshop production boosts I rely on Prosperity Towers AW :

I also get a Workshop production boost when collecting supplies whilst my Culture Bonus is high:

And everyone already knows that Magic Workshops are the best way to produce supplies, even though they cost diamonds to build.

I forget to mention PoP spells as I never think of them, being as my workshop is now enchanted for about the next 17 years... And my second workshop... Well I built that purely as I needed more prosperity, but it only means more supplies sold to the Wholesaler.

Yes, good point about the Prosperity Towers too. One of my PT collections per three hours is equivalent to a 9hr magic workshop collection.

I once played with a gal who relied so heavily on cooking PoPs in her MA that she literally had no S2 relic boost at all.
Seems strange. I know that I constantly produce EE spells in the MA, but I haven't heard of anyone running short of PoP spells, unless they've used them all up to farm mana.

What? I have never had more than 6 regular Workshops in any city and have never struggled for Supplies. I regularly have to spend in the Trader or Negotiate Spire/Tournament/Provinces just to burn excess Coins & Supplies. Only 1 city has Prosperity Towers and Endless Excavation (only 2 Workshops) and this is the worst offender, which is seriously considering the 'Bumblebee Tactic'.

Would be interesting to know what you were trying to do with these cities... the only cities I see with masses of Workshops usually have masses of Armouries to support.

Apologies if this is the wrong thread to post this, but I just noticed something about my Magic Workshops. I have been using PoP spells to increase provision but I am making canned goods and not supplies at present. The PoP spells dont increase your production of canned goods. I get 3375 cans in 9 hours whether or not I use the spells. I have been wasting my spells!

so sorry hun, thank you for sharing this with us though. :)

I have just re-read what the PoP spell actually says. It says that, when cast on a Workshop, every pickup from the building will give additional supplies. That means I should get something extra. It depends whether cans are technically supplies. If they don't give extra cans though, you should at least get extra supplies. Or they should change the wording.

Fabulous Delivery Service.
Many thanks @SunriseBuilder. I've had it for some time now, but collecting the runes for it is so slow. And when I place those that I can gather, they fragment as often as those for the Tower of Eternity. I could always pay diamonds to get it started, but that seems extravagant for building AWs. It's still an option I guess. Which is probably why the game is biased to fragment runes, so players will buy more diamonds. Maybe?

Have you used up all spare rune shards from unbuilt Ancient Wonders? If not, just use the build and destroy routine. (Best with Tome of Secrets which doesn't cost any Royal Restorations to build).

Dont use diamonds. Follow Pauly7's advice. Ask if you need further help.
