Ha, that's crazy and will have cost a fortune. And all so they can sit atop the tournament rankings. I would guess that player has probably already done all their spending already and so it won't change much, but you never know.
Being at the top of the rankings seems to become an obsession with some players!

Out of the 5 that I have, Ashen is the chubbiest, probably because it gets fed every event.
Astral is skinny because it never gets fed.
Twilight and Fire get fed a lot but have fast metabolisms so they don't gain any weight.
Verdant appears the tallest purely because it's perched on a huge cactus. The phoenix equivalent of platform shoes.
The Owl thinks it's a phoenix and wins the biggest head competition.
Jake65, why do you have an Astral Phoenix in your city if you never feed it? Is it just for the regular productions i.e. relics and goods?

Whales, ya know. Bless them, we pray for mainly free thanks to them.
Regarding praying for free, in the nineteenth century in England, people who worshipped anywhere that wasn't Church of England, were fined 1d (one old penny) per week. That was quite a lot of money in those days. For example in Victorian times an old penny would buy a quart of beer, a cup of coffee or a small loaf of bread. The whales must have saved us from this tyranny!

I can remember when we had halfpenny coins, and the silver threepence (pron. "thrippence"), commonly referred to as the "threepenny bit". It was the twentieth century though. ;)

I think I placed it at a time when I was keeping any maxed evolver and it's kind of just stayed. The production isn't great being a 48hr pickup but it looks good in the row of birds :)

I have the Astral Phoenix in all 3 cities. The fighting one doesn't need it but it looks good. The other 2 cities need it for parts of Stages 2 & 3 so it gets feed if going beyond the 1st Boss.

Personally I can't get anyone wanting more than 1 unique building in their city... unless it's one of those super cool ones from the FA that @Pauly7 has got.

Heh, I don't think I'd really want multiples of prize FA buildings. One Arc de Triomph is enough.

I couldn't resist placing two of these babies after I won the second one from RNG:

The mana production is quite respectable, after EE spell and a NH visit from a friendly supporter.

RNGesus is still wondering how it could get it so wrong, and give me two of these hot rocks.

SkyRider99, you said the above about Mana from Solunar Nexus buildings. Do EE spells and NH visits really increase the production of goods eetc? I thought they just gave you more culture. Have I been wrong for all of these years? Ot is there something special about the Solunar Nexus?

Definitely not just culture. Culture bonus in itself does nothing unless it boosts something right. EE spells, leading to increased culture bonus then increase the output of things such as coins and supplies from all workshops, residences, ancient wonders and evolving buildings. I'm not sure about mana. I'd need to check that as I usually don't pay much attention.

In EN1 it was greater. I got about 350 points, having actually had a really lucky event, plus I did buy the outpost, and did everything right to win more artefacts. I was, however, about 70 points adrift of the gold league. I believe that anyone in EN1 who was in gold probably spent pretty big.

A lot of people have felt the need to go all-in for this event due to the FOMO if Azure ended up being a game changer. Bravo Inno marketing. I fell for it myself slightly, insofar as I concentrated on tactics and got that outpost, in order to land me a second base. It was job done for me, although the novelty of this Phoenix is already wearing off for me, as I don't see a big tangible benefit.

I wonder if the novelty is also wearing off for those who have bought 5+ Phoenixes. (The most I have seen is 8.)

...for one or two guilds in DE, the Azure is the evil incarnate - which has led to 19 pages of "feedback" - I don't care about tournament points or the rankings at all - the Phoenix (I have two) gives me more orcs, mana and seeds (wonder effects) and one more reward chest for my guild - I'm satisfied...

Me either. My tournament motivation is to get more spells, which Azure doesn't help with. I'll feed it sometimes to help the FS get some more chests, but it doesn't sit well the idea that everyone is being asked to spend more petfoods in order to keep up with other people the same as they did before all this.

How does the phoenix boost AW effects? I'm probably being thick here.
