It says that the main prize gives mortar. What is mortar please? Also, feeding it gives an increase to tournament points for 24 hours. Does this mean that the increase only lasts for 24 hours, then you loose the extra points?

I see that the gold League this time offers only 1 artifacts (same as the silver league) instead of the usual 2. It's kind of a big nerf IMHO because getting in the top 1% is very hard (usually involves spending lots of diamonds unless one has exceptional luck) and the Ferris wheel and new portrait are not really worth the effort/price. Personally though, I'm kind of glad they did that, now I no longue need to wonder whether I should spend diamonds to try to squeeze into the top 1% :)

That's interesting. I bet they already know that some people will be going for multiple birds, so they're going to make it harder to evolve them.

That has crossed my mind too. There's another possibility: with the last event (or the one before that, not sure) they have introduced artifacts among the royal prizes, after you get all 9 from the regular main prizes. Maybe that's why they have decide to pull an artifacts from the Golden league. It's not a bad move actually. Getting artifacts from the royal prizes is somewhat easier than getting it from the leagues: you know roughly how many more items you can get for the diamonds you want to spend while with the leagues it's a bit of a last day roulette.

It seems its not obligatory to take most active part in every event. I was very much busy on Halloween, so did not aim for main building, but got nice ones, and you can get resources and troops by slower participation. Just make use of everything you get (happy face and flowers)

It's nice to be given the Azure Phoenix as the initial prize:

But will it be possible to gain all nine artefacts? I'm expecting the event will let us have five or six, and then make us suffer for a year or so while we try to get the last couple of artefacts. It kind of takes the shine off events when they do that! :(

It looks like the base it will stand on is taller than the other phoenixes. (Phoenixi?)

Scrolling through the stage overview, it looks like most of the base gets whittled away.
