I have a polar bear in my inventories in both Aren and Wini, but no artifacts in either world. Where did everyone get theirs from?

Ever since the most recent changes to AWs, the bear doesn't have to be maxed. Mine is level 9 (keeping t there to get the supply instants instead of PPs) and my TW is Lv 31. And I think it would work even with a lower LV TW (29-30) or lower level bear if the TW is high enough.
Oh that is interesting. For the longest time I kept mine on L9 too, for the same reason. Then for some reason I don't recall, I decided to put on the 10th evolution. My Timewarp is, and has been for years, on level 30.

To make me feel better about the situation, though, chapter 20 is an absolute PP sink hole. I literally don't see any other way around it, unless you are willing to let progress slow down to about 20%, whilst you wait for the portal to spit out "bars". Bars are the limited portal resource, but in this case all they serve to do is be one of the ingredients to allow you to produce the resources that actually do anything. Anyhoo, luckily I had thousands of hours of PPs before this chapter, because so far I have used all my inventory that is greater than 10% and I have used around 150 * 10% PPs. At the moment I have 600 * 10% PPs left, plus that original stack of thousands of 5% ones. If you decide to do it without PPs, that is possible, but even if you only have one each of the three main buildings and nothing else, you would still spend most of your time waiting around for these "bars", which (incidentally) only come from the portal. You can't help matters with a big guest race.

The original bear event had a choice of 3 bears - Brown Bear, Polar Bear, Panda Bear. They all take the same artefacts. If you don't have any it is probably best to first concentrate on the Brown Bear, unless you don't like to fight. If that's done, then go for Polar. Even if you just build the base unit, though, you may possibly still find it useful to feed either one.

Don't bother with Panda, unless you have done the other two. It gives you a handful of T2, plus some MM spells, every 48 hours. I think its feeding effect just pays some extra T1 goods when you feed other pets, for a short time.

Thanks. That explains things. I have brown bears at maximum evolution. So that's where my artifacts went! I did have the panda bear at one point but decided it was just eating up my very limited pet food.

I saw two bear arts in MA in eight months. So even gave up to keep blueprints for it.
I must become more observant. However, my problem with crafting artifacts from the MA is that I cannot see what I need to give up in order to get these artifacts. It's usually two artifacts from another building, but I can never read what this is.

I agree about chapter 20 being a sink hole for PPs. Mine have mostly been used up by this chapter. Now I have started chapter 21 I am finding the same thing. Hopefully this will change as I build up my settlement camp.

The key thing here I think for the Azure Phoenix is that unless you have finished Chapter 14: Constructs and actually built the D111-a Timewarp then the Azure Phoenix could be munching on a lot of valuable Pet Food each week (3+) for little reward, even if you have the Polar Bear.

Without either of these Pets then I think players are going to be disappointed in its performance.

Wow, thanks for the heads up for Chapter 20. Just finishing up Chapter 17 that's eaten a few PP's so got plenty of time to save up.

Huh, you cant predict which arts will come to craft, so how can you know which one to drop? Its a big surprise.

In Aren, I have a fully evolved Azure Phoenix, upgraded to my research chapter (the Vallorian Legend - chapter 21), giving me 135% increased tournament points when fed. I have a Timewarp at level 9 (9 hours and 17 minutes cool down time). I don't have a Polar Bear. Does anyone think this will be enough? Is it worth concentrating on upgrading my Timewarp?
In Winy, my Timewarp is level 11 (7 hours and 51 minutes cool down time). I don't have a Polar Bear. I have not yet placed my Azure Phoenix because I have only 7 artifacts, which will only take me to level 8 - 131% increased tournament points when fed. Is it worth placing the Azure Phoenix and hoping for artifacts in the future? Should I keep upgrading my Timewarp?
I know there are no right and wrong answers to these questions, but I would appreciate anyone's views on my two situations.

If you fight I'd say yes. A max level TW will give you a cool down time of 2 hours (maybe a bit more, not sure, mine is lv 31 and I have 2h 24min when the bear is not fed). This would allow you to do all of your rounds in 1 day if you don't mind logging in every 2 hours. Alternatively you could do round one on a different day and then 2-6 on the last day). That would allow you to save pet food not only on the Azure bird but also on the Fire Phoenix, Twilight phoenix and Tinlug. It would also allow you to save on some military buildings as you could do at least a part of the next tourney on Tuesday.

IMHO opinion the Azure is worth placing even at level 8 (and we'll probably get 1 more artifact during next FA) as 31% is a good boost to points.

If ranking is not important to you and you don't have a lot of pt food then feeding the Azure might not be your priority although it would allow you to use less troops and goods and achive the same amount of points for your FS.

Worth mentioning that the 2nd effect of the TW is also a good one (boosts sentient goods production).

Thanks to Hekata and Pauly7. I now have the Azure Phoenix in both my worlds and I will update the 2 Timewarps. I stopped updating them when I found out that the Goods increase percentage is based upon your basic goods levels, before any increases due to the Main Hall relics etc. This was obviously a mistake!!
