If you are a keen player, I would strongly suggest getting into a strong fellowship. You will get much more in the way of rarer resources, and this will become clear after you unlock tourney and spire. Blueprints, diamonds and royal restorations are harder to come by in this game, and very much needed. But of course, if building your own fellowship is what you would prefer to do, go for it!

Go Girl Power! Ditto re above it will take a long time to build the FS's perks. Part of being in an existing FS is the help to one another. Everyone is different, wants different things.
