my world map empties from time to time,- and I understand why that is- but it seems to be staying empty now (wynyandor) this is causing a real drain on my coin collection,
I'm aware I can click on the ruins and I do, but its only half.
doe's any one know why it is taking so long to fill up my map again?
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Well, spank me silly and call me Cheryl!

Action taken by Inno to improve the game, after listening to feedback! Hopefully this is the start of a new era!

Actually, we do not know yet. This 'experiment' will start on august 22nd on the Beta-server. So we all need to wait and see what happens there and what the feedback will be. Imho, it will take at least 2 to 3 weeks from then before something like this 'bringing players together on the map' will be implemented on EN or any other live server.

The way I read it is they do it the simplest way possible, transplant you somewhere with exactly the same explored radius and any people within the "new" radius become discovered friends. What was there previously only has relevance to you anyway.

So... two months for en2. server. If they want to launch finished features. ;)

Hmm, so if you have good trading and visiting neighbours you could end up being moved away from them. Have to hope moving to an area with more neighbours will be sufficient to replace those left behind.

Just for starters, you'll only be eligible for a move if your neighborhood is already bad, and will be getting worse because OTHER folks will be moving out.

Everybody within 14.5 rings (200 cities) will show up in your Trade Window. Even if you DON'T want to trade with them and they don't return your visits, they'll payout twice as many Coins as a Goldmine.

If you don't grab the money and run you'll end up stuck with half Goldmines when you DO finally get around to moving, because all of the interior locations will already be occupied.

Although it will be a shame to move from the 7 active neighbours I have, it will be lovely to move into an area where my 183 neighbours will all be active to some extent, I don't expect NH from all of them as that would be somewhat optimistic. I might miss the goldmines which are currently reappearing for me - 90 as of now and I'm expecting a few more before they start backfilling with new arrivals, but I have enough gold for my needs without visiting inactives or goldmines already.

As Kat says, more trade is also a good thing which will help everyone, as will potentially being able to change our cities because we will have more gold and supplies and so maybe less need for so many gold/supplies producing buildings especially when we factor in those AW which also produce.

I doubt it will fix my issues (many and varied they are, lol!) as I SEEM to be in an area that gets refreshed pretty often with newbs. I only see 1-5 gold mines after a purge and then none. That may mean I am not eligible to move, as I am on the "active edge"?
Although... It could also mean the "active edge" will get further and further out, as outliers come in closer. Huh.

TL;DR Not enough info to allow me to tell if people in my position will benefit.
