Right my Fiends, my apologies for the delay in getting back to you despite me stating I would get these up ASAP!

Here are some answers for the Ideas you have kindly raised. This is not the full list because I am still waiting on some! Once I get them I will of course update you.

***********************************************

Idea: It would make the game cleaner (and nicer) if we could have a tick-box so we could block/hide unfair trades – Skyrider99

Answer: This has been refused on the basis of new players being helped by placing 0 and 1 star trades. It is important that these remain visible for this purpose.

Idea: How about making Season quests that match actual game conditions?

On Beta many of us get quests on the first day to Solve Event quest, when it's already solved, and now some of us are getting weekly quests to Solve 8 Event quests when there are 4 days left in Season, and ofc, only in cities caught up to current. Toolbox quests when we are not playing Adventures, and Bread or Simple Tools during Adventure are particularly irritating - Lelanya

Answer: Unfortunately this is not possible to do, this is because Event and Season dates are not able to be set ahead of time.

Idea: To be able to sort the inventory by different criteria, particularly the order in which items were last used – Pauly7

Answer: As it stands there is already the search option in the game for players to search by name which brings the items up in chapter order already. This is unlikely to change above and beyond this.

Idea: In the summonings tab of the inventory, add "Teleported" to the search terms – Jake65

Answer: Due to the programming of summoning, this would mean if this was implemented it would replace something existing due to the space implications.

Idea: A 'collect all' button would be nice. This should be easy enough for a college graduate to code, and if they need a hint on how to do it, they can always copy/paste that bit of code from 'Forge of Empires' Thankyou – OldHag

Answer: This has been asked for and refused many times. Whilst we understand that this is a feature of Forge of Empires, this comes at a cost of Diamonds. Players themselves have stated in the past that they would not wish for this feature if it came at a cost.

Idea: I suggest that the scouting of a province is only complete when you return to it and click it once your scouting time is up. Probably an "Awesome" button? This way we could have a scouted province sitting waiting for when the pesky quest appears.
The trade-off would be that you can't scout another province until you 'release' the scout from the finished one. So he/she gets to chill for a while – Jake65

Answer: This would be considered Game Manipulation for Higher Level players and for that reason the answer is no

Idea: When you do tournament and spire on the pc, you can hover over the troop selection and it shows you which of those troops will be useful in the fight. Could this be carried over to the app? At present if you fight on the app unless you have studied which troops are best against what enemy, its pot luck if you get the right troops for the auto fight – McBratty

Answer: This is available on the Combat Pentagon fpr App Users... this can be found under the ? on the app if players have missed this. Unfortunately there are limitations to what we can do on the App hence the differences.

Idea: Bulk, one-click collection of gold-mines from empty cities on the World Map! - SkyRider99

Answer: Impossible to programme due to this changing daily it would use too much RAM and limit players devices

Idea: Please, please return the in-game link button to this forum – HoneyBubbles

Answer: Not possible to do so, however google SEO has the international Forum top of Elvenar Forum list and this is flagged on Discord as our official server space.

Idea: An option somewhere in the game to indicate my preference for received Neighborly Help (other than my city name). A simple box with dropdown boxes for First Preferred, Second Preferred, and Third Preferred would be sufficient. When others pull up the Neighborly Help box, my preferred selection should be highlighted. A simple, coloured outline would suffice. Other players can still have the choice of putting Neighborly Help on something other than that which is highlighted, but at least there would be a basic visual representation to indicate where I prefer the Neighborly Help. With this implemented, I would finally be able to name my city something other than B/C/MH – Dbrad000

Answer: Requested and refused before on a few occasions. Due to the programming, limited help for NH, BH and variants of Cultural building types/amounts etc this would be unable to be implemented

Kind Regards

Herodite.

Thanks @Herodite for collecting all the answer and presenting it in this nice way with the full explanation :)
The short version could have been : all the ideas have bee rejected, haha

I see, though, that the 1st and probably most frequently asked for idea: - a scout notification - is not here so I guess I can keep hoping for a while longer... :)

I must add that I'm truly wondering what kind of "easy to implement but impactful changes" (to use their words again), the devs are looking for as these were all rather reasonable suggestions and all were refused...

Firstly @Herodite , thank you kindly for taking the time to put our ideas forward and getting back to us with the replies.

Having said that (haha) @Inno - Why would a collect all button have to involve a cost of diamonds in Elvenar? It's a feature that would make life in Elvenar just a little bit easier, surely that should be added with 0 cost of anything?
Sounds like a total nonsense response to me, but it won't stop me asking again. ;)

If that was their answer I can assume they couldn't be bothered.

A tick-box would give all players the option to either see (unticked) or hide (ticked) unfair trades. Being able to toggle between see/hide would not disadvantage 'new players'!

Thanks for submitting it anyway @Herodite.

It's no problem my Fiends! I'll happily forward them over any time!

Now I understand that the responses i've posted aren't what you were hoping for but there are still some ideas im yet to hear about! So hopefully we may get one or two positive responses from them! We'll see though.

In the meantime, do keep the Ideas coming.

There IS always a chance! :)

Kind Regards

Herodite.

Just curious, I wonder whos' idea the new game currency 'Eldian Sapphires' was.
This allows us to use them to purchase "cultural" buildings that previously could only be obtained with diamonds.

Sadly they do not work for magic residences, nor magic workshops

Personally, I think a lot of our ideas are much better.. :)

It really looks like that list was given to a dev. and they didn't want any extra work so they just went down the list with a cynical personal objective to say 'no' to everything, some with valid reasons, some clearly totally obtuse/disingenuous. For example the "This has been refused on the basis of new players being helped by placing 0 and 1 star trades. It is important that these remain visible for this purpose." answer - yeah you can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. I'm not going to accept those kind of trades, except from growing fellows. Having a toggle on/off for unfair and cross-tier trades wouldn't stop people helping fellows, or anyone for that matter, if a player wanted to turn if off to check for unfair trades to help newer players/small fellows. It wouldn't impact the server load at all either, as it's purely a client-side filter being applied to the existing API response. Also, just because a particular action in another game requires premium currency, doesn't automatically mean that this has to be true for a similar action here.

Stop 'pulling the ladders up' too, after they've already been well used by other players. You let loads of people get huge AW donations before introducing the credit system. You let loads of people upgrade their AWs easily, then change it to require fragments and RR. Now we get news from the beta that KP donations to AWs are being limited to only those people whom you've discovered on the world map (this is going to be extra fun for people near the edge like me - about 25% of my world map is goldmines). So no more KP hunting. Is this all to try and frustrate people into spending diamonds to progress AWs? Between chapters there's not much to do in-game, outside of events, but even those only take minutes a day at some point. Hunting was another activity end-game players could partake in to keep their interest in the game alive and now you want to take that away too!?

The most valuable thing from the spire was the diamonds and then you go and reduce those and give us pointless stuff instead. Events used to give decent buildings as rewards, but they've been noticibally worse, nigh on worthless, for the last four years at least. I don't care about being able to buy premium culture buildings for the new spire currency - they're just not worth it, mostly because, unlike with event buildings, you can't ever upgrade premium culture buildings with RR, or with anything. They just fall behind with each new chapter and have to be deleted when they no longer justify the space they occupy versus newer buildings or even some event buildings that can be upgraded each new chapter (that's not an invite for a typical Inno solution, make good things worse, instead of making bad things better - so don't stop allowing event buildings to be upgraded - a proper fix would be allowing the premium culture buildings to be upgradable either by RR, or a [fair] percentage of their original diamond/spire currency cost, or a blueprint, or a blueprint per 2000 diamonds of original cost, same as with magic residences and workshops). Premium culture buildings just aren't a long-term investment they way they're currently implemented and that makes them a waste of money/spire effort in my book.

Royal rewards in events that clearly aren't worth the diamond cost, that just prey on people who can't control their FOMO. Same with the leagues, want gold (or even sometimes silver)? - Gotta buy extra currency, putting in more work than other players, or being better at the skill-based events isn't worthy of the top rewards - they're only for people who can't control themsevles and will pay for a bad deal soas to not miss out. Predatory design.

When I first started playing this game (about 6 years and 8 months ago) I tried to gauge the pay-to-win mechanics and there weren't that many, so I was willing to give the game a chance. I hate pay-to-win and I would have passed on the game in its current state if I was just starting out now.

I'm not a leech, I know that game needs to make money to survive, but it's getting downright cynical now. I've spent hundreds of pounds on this game over the years, but not recently, it's just not worth it anymore, even when I get a 200% bonus diamonds offer. I'm not paying £100+ for a single premium expansion - the ever-growing cost of these makes them outrageously poor value for money. I have disposable income coming out of my ears, but I won't be exploited - If I don't get value for money, I won't buy.

Sometimes it feels like Inno have real contempt for us players and the dev that went down that list and said no to everything just typifies this! :(

Cheers @Paladestar. That was also my take on the canned response we received. I never take those 0-star trades either. And they are mostly from large city players/pirates too. Not the 'new players' that was levered into the dev response. Flimsy excuse!
