Crafting Opportunities

What is the chance of us being given the opportunity, in crafting, to exchange our dormant stock artifacts from past single specialist events like Stonehenge, May Tree, Wise Golem, Gingerbread Mansion etc into usable Bear or Phoenix ones.
It seems a waste, after all the time and effort taken in winning these, to just disenchant them for spell fragments. It would not be so bad if we could get Vision Vapours for them.
No "Smart Alec" replies of none please.

Selling them for Vision Vapour sounds like a good compromise. I keep mine because I still hold out the hope they'll eventually let us craft them into different artefacts.

Hi Master Arthur,

There are no current plans to cross over artifacts, this year has been the first year that we have had crafting to swap new for old artifacts for the same types (phoenix and bears). Devs have said that they wish to keep these rare and exclusive.

Kind Regards,

Vanquish

What is the chance

The chance is "some". Inno isn't the kind of company that shares those decisions, or even where they are at other than "Not at this time"

I think our best hope is for Artifact Fragments where we could use any Artifact on any building, but with only a 20% chance of upgrading it if the Artifact doesn't match. The other 80% of the time you would get a fragment like when upgrading wonders. 5 fragments = a Universal Artifact.
The numbers are obviously just pulled outta me bum, but the idea makes sense and I don't think they'd give us much better than a 5:1 trade-in.

I agree with @Pauly7 ..... I too still have mine in fear if I got rid of them is when INNO does come out with that universal artifact (yes, I'm dreaming)
It's not too far fetched to guess that we will have a use for them at some time or another. It's happened with Phoenix and Bear artefacts so it could happen with others.

Thanks for the constructive replies. These comments are to address the view of Dev's as expressed by @Vanquish. I am of the opinion that, if this is the true position of the wish by the Dev's, it is un-tenable.
ALL artifacts are only gained after time and effort by the PLAYERS. Therefore, surely ALL should have the same status with none be given the tag of the Rare and Exclusive. To have a system/stance that ensures the waste of players time, effort and resources is not fair, as it is us that by our time/ effort and often cash, that allows this game to continue.
It is a WASTE to have Artifacts that may never be used and at the same time have bases of other events also siting either in play or in stock, which again, we will never be able to use/ evol;ve.
The change that I am suggesting gives us players, the opportunity to use ALL our rewards that we have gained, to enhance our game.

Exactly, as @Pauly7 said, it is best to keep these artifacts. There are plans that only the developers know. So, keeping artifacts and not disenchanting them is a good move. You never know! However, we continue to forward them all the suggestions and needs for them to be updated to what everybody is asking for.

@anonblitch - Thank you for forwarding my thread to the devs.
Been giving this some more thought. Would suggest that an easy, fair, constructive solution would be just to change, for a limited period of say 2 to 3 weeks, the status of our non-usable artifacts (except for current quest) into universal mode and allowing us to use these to evolve any of the bear (and/or phoenix) buildings.
