Which is why you'll seldom want more than one Priest or Soressess if you intend to use Auto Battle. They have a OK ranged hit, but the AI engine will just stack all of their debuffs on the opponent with the highest initiative (the leftmost reachable opponent in the bar at the bottom of the page) so you're better off with an extra melee fighter. In manual mode you can spread the debuffs around.

Thanks guys, that confirms my impression.

I find auto battle gets expensive and avoid it.
