Answered Chapter 19 goods

Ok, so I am probably being absurdly stupid to the point I am embarrassed to post this, but I have been trying to figure this out for longest time. How do I produce those two swirly items in the middle below? The Fortress of Revenege doesn't. The Breeding Facilities don't. The Towers of Light don't.... I have no other buildings. And I need 24 of the dark green swirly bits in order to upgrade the Fortress to level 2.

Oh but it's worse. Of course it is. I first have to sell 24 of them whilst they're on level 1 before I can upgrade 24 of them to level 2.

This takes the biscuit for me so far when it comes to pointless Elvenar tasks. I don't even need these buildings. I just have to build them up and knock them down, costing millions in ascended, just to be given those little nuggets at the end.

Actually....overall for that chapter....you need to build a total of 144 towers of light....sell half of them, so 72.....and then upgrade the rest of them, so 72 to level 2.....then sell all 72 at level 2 in order to receive the final item needed for the last research ;)

You need 72 in total, to upgrade the portal to level 4. Best to get them out of the way as quickly as possible (assuming you're using PPs where you can) - but if you want to follow the questline keep an eye on it, there's a couple of quests to sell X towers and you don't want to have to rebuild. You can then use the space for breeding facilities. I'd recommend having more of those if you've got the resources (mainly mana) to build them.

This is one of the more tedious chapters but still not as painful as Traders.

Edit: @kimkimkim and I posted at the same time! '72' refers to the black matter you need for the portal upgrades.

Thanks all. I suppose I should research better, but I spent weeks saving up the little alien faces in order to be able to complete the research to upgrade my portal. Then, when I finally make it... Oh no, you can't proceed until you've built 24 towers, knocked them down, built 24, upgrade 24, then knocked them down too.

So this little expedition will cost 450,000 primordial minerals and 580,000 ingots, just in building upgrade costs. It will also cost a ton in time boosters, assuming that I don't want to sit and wait for a long time. I maybe have space to put two or three.

The towers don't need to have completed building (or upgrading) before you sell them, you still get the reward. From memory, the main hold up is the ascended goods. (Glido should be able to help with that, while the Spire's open.) I had about 5 or 6 towers at any one time and just kept rebuilding in the same spot.

The advice from my FS was to aim to have 0 towers when you get to upgrading the breeding facilities to level 3.

This bit I figured out already and it was good news. It isn't so helpful when I need to upgrade them all to level 2, but I already have my 25 light swirly bits, so the first batch is done.

You know what, I can't believe I am going to eat my words so soon after saying I'm never going to feed Glido.... But I think I am about to feed Glido and do the Spire. Suddenly I need a bucket load of first tier ascended goods. Come on. I'm braced for the 'I told you so's.

For real? How does Glido give that much in ascended goods? I may have to eat my hat also.
In ch 21, 26,400 per Spire chest. That's 1,267,200 for a full Spire run, plus any bonus chests that spawn along the way. Yours would be higher.

(You can keep them in your inventory long enough for them to decay?!)

Yeah, @MinervaOz has outlined this, but for me I get 17,400 sprouts per Spire chest. That's a total of 835,200. To be honest it makes my number look light as I had 4 or 5 mystery chests and each of those gave a further 17,400. However, I looked at the number before I started and after I finished and it was 858,000.
