Answered Can You Gain Spell Fragments if You Don't Have Magic Academy?

I'm a new player, just started today, and I want to see if I can complete the first goal of the manufacturing challenge to gain 500 spell fragments. My question is: Will I still be able to receive the spell fragments if I don't have the magic academy unlocked? Will the game save them until I can use them?

I’m not 100% sure, but I think I earned some spell fragments before I had the Magic Academy. They were available to me to use when I finally built the MA (which was sometime in Dwarves chapter).

I see no reason why not, spells earned in tourneys save without the Magic Academy.

Yes, you can gain Spell Fragments, you just can't use them.
