What does one do with excess Rune shards that have been accumulated for an Ancient Wonder (AW) they have already built. I have 22 excess shards for one AW alone!

You'll need them every 5 levels. At level 6, 11, etc. you need to fill the Rune Wheel again. At least until you reach the current max, at which point they become useless.

Not completely. I believe they can be used in crafting, if you wish.

No, not unless some new recipes have been added. BROKEN Shards can be used in crafting, but not Rune Shards that are not yet broken.

See I thought that new recipes had been added to use them at the same time as RR started However I haven't yet seen one and I'm starting to think that I misunderstood and that it's broken shards that the new recipes use... Which isn't really newsworthy.
